More research, this time using the univeristy system. Actually came across a very good article about testing. I think this one thing I’ve learned about testing is that everyone does it differently and that there is no such thing as a ‘standard testing environment’. Oh well.
After lunch went and spoke to the testers who this who thing is aimed at to start with. Later on realised that this wasn’t such a good idea at this stage. Spent the rest of the afternoon doing the bullet points of a scope document. Not easy but I think I got there in the end.
Next stage is to develope those points into some detail. That should give me a rough idea of what I want/need to do so that I can then set out a time scale. With that I should be able to chart my progress, see how far I am though it and what is next.
The good news is that they aren’t expecting me in tomorrow. Yea! A lie in!
Arrived at Talis to find some thing haven’t changed – and some have
Spend the first day using google to find as much about testing environments as I could. Got several peices of information and some notes but today was really about just getting started and setup.
